Intensely clenching her fist, Brudil steels herself.
Brudil: He may have been killed by a clown, but I'm NOT having him take my city on! He's up to something... Our focus should be on stopping him!
Pleht, nodding, packs the vase away in his coat, letting it magically vanish.
The two of them look up into the hole in the ceiling.
Brudil: So what kind of spell can get us flying up there?
Uncomfortably, Pleht looks back down as he buttons his coat back on.
Pleht: Er... I don't think I CAN do that.
[Beat]
Brudil: What? I saw you levitate that cinnamon. You can't tell me your magic can only do that!
Slumping forward, Pleht is visibly tired.
Pleht: I actually CAN'T explain it. All I can do is invoke Aup's Third Law: "A wizard never reveals their secrets."

Not that I can blame him, but it stinks when you have to refuse information you have. It is necessary for security/sensitivity/safety sometimes, but still, it's hard to handle the frustration that ensues.
