As previously mentioned, I don't know too much about ladybugs, (in my defense, most insects are attracted to light). One thing I do know, though, is that they don't spit.
Must be something in the water.
Pleht: H-hey buddy, sorry about bailing on you... do you want--
Ladybug: mrrr...
The ladybug violently spits the metal ball at Pleht, sending him flying.
Ladybug: ptooie!
Pleht: Oof!
Pleht is dazed in the dirt with the slime-covered metal ball on top of him.
Pleht: Ugh... Eugh, you tried to eat it, huh? Waste of a good ladle...
Loud banging noises (with "BANG!" SFX) catch his attention as he tosses the ball aside.
Brudil is swinging her axe blindly, banging against the wall. The Red Slugfolk is unable to get close.
The ladybug towers over Pleht, who looks up at him (with "GULP" SFX)
Ladybug: hiss...
